Should the elders ask a man who is reaching out for congregation privileges if he ever molested a child?
Answer: No. It is not the duty of elders to query an individual about whether he ever molested children. It would also not be appropriate for elders to meet with brothers reaching out for privileges to make them aware of what is stated in the January 1, 1997, Watchtower.
